Fashion and the Caribbean have long enjoyed a beautiful special relationship, which is still very strong today. There have been many super models with Caribbean heritage, and Caribbean designers are known throughout the world for their creativity. And by now everyone knows that cameras and video cameras shoot their best shots in the Caribbean.
On Sunday April 22, 2008, Irie Jam Media Group hosted their first annual Caribbean Fashion Rocks (fashion show) at Mangoville, in Hollis, Queens, NY. There were 16 presenters, 14 designers and two hair stylists. It was high-energy creativity from beginning to end.
